CRICKET CAMPS

Buckinghamshire

We have a partnership with Amersham CC to run cricket holiday camps.

Our cricket holiday camps are perfect for boys and girls of all abilities, who want to improve their game and stay active during the school holidays. The camps offer lots of drills, skills and games to maximise enjoyment and help build confidence and team spirit.

We run 10am - 3pm each day of our camps.

All of our holiday camps are led by ECB qualified coaches. Players will be grouped by age and ability, ensuring that all players get the most enjoyment and fulfilment from their cricket. For those more experienced, we often have the option to use the nets, working on technique and confidence against a hard ball.

FAQS

WHAT DOES MY CHILD NEED TO BRING?

Your child needs to bring a packed lunch and a bottle of drink for the day. We can top up bottles of water in the pavilion but please ensure your child has enough food for the duration. All equipment is provided, however your child is welcome to bring their own bat. If your child has hardball kit and plays regularly with a hardball, then please bring this also as we do make use of the nets for those confident with a hard ball.

WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD WEAR?

Please ensure children are dressed in appropriate sports clothing and are wearing trainers. Please ensure hoodies, jumpers and lunchbags are clearly named, so that we can get them back to their owners if any are left behind.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I ARRIVE?

Please arrive at the ground for 9.45am and register your child with the lead coach. Once this is done you are free to leave your child in our care. Please ensure that your child is always signed in and out each day.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN IT RAINS?

We do not let the weather beat us and have plenty of options to keep everyone busy in the event of rain. We try and stay outside playing for as long as is safe to do so. If the rain gets persisent and heavy then we will have children go inside to the pavilion, where we have a number of activities to keep them busy. This may include watching sport/films on TV, quizzes, table football, pool, games and umpiring challenges. We have plenty to keep your child entertained whatever the weather!

DO YOU PROVIDE SUN CREAM?

We are unable to provide sun cream for your child. Please send the appropriate factor with your child and we will remind them to apply it throughout the day.

WHAT HAPPENS WITH LOST PROPERTY?

Any items of lost property are collected at the end of each day and kept in a clearly marked box in the pavilion. Please ask a coach if you wish to look and collect any lost items, or Contact Us if you wish us to check anything for you.

IS THERE A PLACE FOR PARKING?

Yes, both clubs have parking/drop-off space right next to the ground.

CAN I BOOK RANDOM DAYS?

Yes, you can book your child onto the odd days (subject to availability), as we are aware people cannot always commit to the full week of our courses. Single day options are available on our Bookings page.

DO YOU GIVE A SIBLING DISCOUNT?

Unfortunately we do not provide a discount for sibling bookings. We offer a discount only to cricket club members for our camps.

CAN MY CHILD BE IN A GROUP WITH HIS FRIEND(S)?

We understand that children will want to spend the day with their friends, so always try our very best to accommodate such requests. We can't promise this, but often it works out absolutely fine!

DO YOU TAKE CHILDCARE VOUCHERS?

Unfortunately we don't take any childcare vouchers. The only way to book onto one of our camps is directly through our website.

CAN YOU HOLD SPACES FOR ME TO BOOK LATER?

No. We require booking and payment to be completed to confirm your place on one of our camps.

IS IT A MULTI-SPORTS CAMP?

Our camps our very much cricket camps. We may occasionally kick a football around as part of a warm-up, otherwise it's all cricket activities.

MY CHILD IS NEW TO CRICKET. CAN THEY JOIN THE CAMP?

Yes, absolutely. We welcome all abilities and beginners at our camps. All that we ask is that you book your child on if they have an interest in playing with cricket and we can show them the basics of the game whilst on our camps.
